new cartridge update

Straight from the exam's own bullet, troubleshoot services and networking: a Service that selects nothing, a targetPort that misses the container, CoreDNS scaled to zero, a default deny and the one rule that opens it. Graded on the cluster your commands leave behind, not on the spelling.

how it works

It learns your weak spots

Miss a card and it comes back sooner; nail it and it rests. Each day's voyage is built from the cards you're about to forget.

It calls your bluffs

Mix up StatefulSet and DaemonSet twice and the game notices — it deals a Showdown, both cards head-to-head, until you can tell them apart cold.

It keeps score

Right answers build a streak that multiplies your points — and pitches the coin a step higher with every hit; three misses end the run. High scores go on the weekly board under your 3-letter arcade tag.

What is flashkube?

flashkube is a flashcard game for Kubernetes certification. Miss a card and it comes back sooner; answer it well and it rests. That is spaced repetition, and it is the whole engine. It covers six certification exams — CKAD, CKA, CKS, KCNA, KCSA and the Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional — each with its own page, and deals ten cards free with no account.

Which certification exams does it cover?

Hands-on exams: the Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS). Multiple-choice exams: the Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA), Kubernetes and Cloud Native Security Associate (KCSA) and Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional. Every card is tagged per exam; the mock exam, the Veteran Run and the demo hand are dealt by each exam's published domain weights, and the daily voyage is built from the cards you are about to forget.

Is it a practice exam, or a lab?

Neither. Every card is original study content weighted by the exam's published domains, never an exam question. Use a lab for the cluster. Use flashkube for everything you will forget between now and the exam — it is the other half of the same preparation, not a substitute for the first. Task chains put you at a terminal against a simulated cluster and grade the state it ends in.

How does the scheduling work?

FSRS, an open-source spaced-repetition scheduler, fits a forgetting model to your own reviews and names the day each card comes back. A miss returns sooner and a fast correct answer rests longer. Set an exam date and the retention target tightens as it nears; the readiness page shows predicted recall on that day, per exam domain.

What does it cost?

Three islands of free water, from wherever you land, and the ten-card demo, cost nothing. The Cert Cartridge is $29, paid once: it opens every exam at once, nothing renews, and every card added afterwards is included. Crews of five at $29 a month and twenty at $99 a month, billed to the crew, and every berth carries the full cartridge.
